Jason is the Manager, Professional Conduct at the Ontario College of Teachers in Toronto. Since being called to the Ontario bar in 2002, he has spent his career specializing in professional discipline and corporate governance, acting as a prosecutor at times and as tribunal manager at others. He has held senior management roles at national and provincial regulators where he helped improve the discipline and governance processes at two large self-regulatory organizations – first as Corporate Secretary & Director, Regional Councils at the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada, and more recently as Director, Corporate Governance at the Ontario College of Trades. Jason holds a BA (Hons) degree in Political Science and English Literature from Queen’s University (ArtsSci 1995) and a Law degree, also from Queen’s, granted in 2001. Between undergrad and law school, Jason lived in Saitama, Japan for two years. He holds the Certificate in Adjudication for Administrative Agencies, Boards & Tribunals from Osgoode Hall and is the former Vice-Chair, Compensation Fund Board of Trustees with the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council. He lives in the west end of Toronto with his wife Nicole and their three boys.
