Jeff is a Certified Management Consultant and principal with WorkForce Strategies International, a Calgary-based workforce and organizational development consultancy with a focus on competency as a driver for performance. He became focused (obsessed?) with competency-based training and credentialing while serving as an officer in the Canadian, military, and has been consulting full-time in this domain for over 20 years. Jeff has developed numerous competency frameworks and profiles for Canadian industry, professional/trade associations, and sector councils, using a variety of methodologies, including the EU’s “ConProCom” approach for professional competencies. He has been a strong advocate for a coordinated, national approach to competency-based education, training and credentialing throughout his career, and sees open, national frameworks as a vital ingredient in ensuring Canadian economic prosperity.
