Susan Prins is a senior communications professional with 25 years of progressive leadership experience in both the private and public sector. For the past 15 years, she has held the position of Director, Communications and Public Affairs at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. In this role, she is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy to support the Board’s priorities, strategic plan, and evolving political agenda. As a member of the College’s leadership team, she works closely with Registrar, and the Board and Executive Committee, providing counsel on issues and crisis management, communications planning, legislation and policy change, reputation and brand integrity, stakeholder engagement and public outreach, media relations, and public affairs. Susan is passionate about ensuring the public voice and perspective is reflected in the work of the regulator. She was instrumental in shaping and currently sits as chair of BC’s Public Advisory Network, now in its second year of operation. Susan holds a masters of adult education from the University of BC.
